Characteristics
WACKER® FINISH WR 301 CN is a reactive aminoethylamino propylfunctional polydimethylsiloxane.
Applications
WACKER® FINISH WR 301 CN is particularlysuitable as active substance in softenerformulations for
the impregnation of fibers and textiles.
WACKER® FINISH WR 301 CN imparts a very soft,drapable, and elastic touch to woven and knitted
fabrics.
WACKER® FINISH WR 301 CN is considered to bethe best softening agent for cotton fabrics and
knitware made of cotton or cotton/PES blends.
WACKER® FINISH WR 301 CN improves the washand-wear properties and the crease recovery angle,
sewability and tear strength and reduces abrasionloss. The effects are fast to washing and dry cleaning.
WACKER® FINISH WR 301 CN has only little effect on the degree of white in a softener formulation
when usual application conditions are adhered to.As a rule no adverse effect on the shade or colour
fastness properties of coloured goods is observed.As part of formulations used as fill fibre finish
WACKER® FINISH WR 301 CN imparts excellentslickness and resilience to the fibre.
Processing
WACKER® FINISH WR 301 CN can be applied neat,from solution, or emulsion. Suitable solvents are
aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinatedhydrocarbons, esters, higher alcohols, and ketones.
Most textile processes are waterbased. Hence WACKER® FINISH WR 301 CN is mainly appliedfrom emulsion.
WACKER® FINISH WR 301 CN can be used as soleactive substance in softener emulsions or in
combination with other components, e.g. paraffines,esters of fatty acids, etc. Compatability of the
components has to be checked in each individualcase.Emulsions of WACKER® FINISH WR 301 CN are
diluted to the optimum concentration for the specific fabric. Application can be done by padding or
exhaustion.

Storage stablity
WACKER® FINISH WR 301 CN has a shelf life of atleast 12 months when stored at 25 °C in the originally
sealed containers. The "Best use before end" date of each batch appears on the product label.
Storage beyond the date specified on the label doesnot necessarily mean that the product is no longer
usable. In this case however, the properties requiredfor the intended use must be checked for quality
assurance reasons.
